Taylor Label is continuously innovating in order to produce ever more sustainable products. A sampling of our ongoing programs include:
Eco Initiatives
1. FSC® for Labels
Taylor Label developed the industries first FSC®-certified pressure-sensitive label material and is continuously developing new FSC®-certified label products.
2. Bio Stock
Taylor Label is experimenting with a widening range of bio-based raw materials, including agricultural and forestry waste, from which labels can be produced.
3. Divide Waste & Conquer
Taylor Label regularly inspects its waste stream to ensure the companies focus is on 'reuse' and 'recycle'.
4. Clean Shop
Taylor Label examines all aspects of its facility in search of ways to improve the efficiency and health of the building. To date, a lighting retrofit has resulted in a 40% energy savings and a air-filtration system has produced healthier indoor air quality.
5. Trim the Pack
Each outgoing label shipment is inspected to ensure the packaging will deliver the labels safely without excess material and weight.
6. Core Recovery
Where customer facilities permit, Taylor Label picks up used cores and brings them back for sorting, inspection and reuse on future roll label orders.
